Frostbite

Frostbite.
Frostbite when there is freezing of the soft tissue with local deprivation of blood supply.
The ear, nose, checks, fingers and toes are most often affected. Any part of the body getting wet, strong winds and poor general health predispose to frostbite. Cold temperatures lead to contraction of the arterioles, later to dilatation of the capillaries and last of all to the freezing of the parts. The affected part first appears cold and bluish red then as freezing sets in it becomes white, waxy, and numb there is erythema edema vesicles and bullae, superficial gangrene, deep gangrene and I jury to muscles tendons periosteum and nerves. Parts becomes swollen bluish red painful
Bed rest and high protein and high calorie diet should be given do not rub or massage the part. Recovery takes months short and remedy and deep acting Constitutional remedy is to be prescribed.
