Neuroma
Here the lesions develops from the nerve or ganglion cells, nerve fibers or the perineural sheath.
These lesions do not have a capsule and are conposed of spindle cells with characteristically wavy nuclei.
The lesions in this conditions are usually solitary slow growing tumours occuring along a nerve. They are skin colored or with a slight red hue. The patient usually complains of a radiating pain.
Neurofibromatosis is a condition that mimics neuroma, but the histopathology exibit numerous bundles of myelinated nerves in the dermis surrounded by fibrous tissue.
