Post herpetic neuralgia.

Varilolinum This internal vaccine should be given to all those who have just recovered from Chicken pox, whether a child or an adult. Varilolinum 200 ,5 pills thrice a day, once a week for a month, should be given after an episode of Chicken pox in your house or neighbour hood, or if you have already suffered from it and want to avoid or minimise the attack of herpes zoster take Varilolinum 200c thrice a day once a week for a month. Varilolinum is a vaccine prepared from the lymph of chicken pox pustules.
Hypericum This is the most important remedy for nerve injury because in herpes too the nerves are affected and inflammed Hypericum 1m 5 pills every two hrs. Till the pain subsides.
Mezerinum This is indicated when there is herpes rash on the forehead or near the eyes with big yellowish pustules. When these pustules dry up they leave behind big scabs with thick yellowish pus underneath them. There is severe pain in the eyeball along with a chill and sensitivity to cold air. The patient wants to keep himself in a warm room because the slightest draft of air brings on shooting pain. Mezerinum 200 5pills every two hrs helps.
Chamomilla 200 This is indicated when there is extreme mental irritability after the herpes rashes great restlessness and impatient. The patient is very snappy and wants to continuously move from one place to another. A cold room cold compresses and cold air give slight relief these people have a very low threshold of bearing pain. 5 pills every hr makes all the difference in such a cases
Ars Alb indicated when severe burning pain remains after the rash has subsided and the patient wants constant hot fomentation on that area. Only heat gives temporary relief from the burning pain. Ars Alb 200 is best given 5 pills every two hrs.
Coffea Indicated when there is great restlessness of mind along with post herpetic pain. Any emotional change brings on an attack of pain. An excess of joy or sorrow, a flow of ideas or even a change in emotions can trigger off the pain. Mental activity causes sleeplessness. The pain is relieved by cold compresses give coffea 200 ,5 pills every two hrs .
