Ovarian common Disorders

The ovaries produce and store a woman's eggs and are also responsible for making the hormones (particularly sex steroids) that affect the development and function of the reproductive tract while also having an effective on the muscles, bone and skin .
Ovarian disorders thus have the potential to affect both a woman's fertility and the hormonal balance. Once menopause is reached the ovarian function decline.
Ovarian problems.
Ovarian cancer Is generally likely to be happen in women over age 50 , although it can affect younger women.The cause remains unknown earlier detention gives better chances of recovery.However there may be mild in nature until the disease is in an advanced stage, making it difficult to treat.
Ovarian cysts.
Cysts are fluid filled sacs that usually do no harm and go away by themselves. Most women are likely to have them sometime in their life. The cysts are rarely cancerous in women under 50 . They may be incidentally detected during a pelvic Examination. The cysts may produce no symptoms or cause some pain or discomfort.
In women who are in the child bearing age are past menopause and have cysts can just be monitored.For those who are past menopause, experiencing pain or for whom the cysts do not go away,.
Polycystic ovarian syndrome or the stein leven Thal Syndrome affects one in every 10 women. Not only is it the leading cause of female infertility but also a risk factor for diabetes, cancer,heart disease and other life threatening illnesses.
An under diagnosed condition, it may involve a combination of disorders associated with an excess of male hormones (androgens) and irregular or no periods and a small overian cysts .
While the exact cause of PCOS remains unknown, experts estimate that 70 to 80 percent of the cases are genetic and women who are obese are more likely to develop PCOS .
Those suffering from PCOS are great risk for dometrial , ovarian and breast cancer. There is no cure for PCOS  and treatment focuses on managing and slowing the progression of symptoms.
Pre Mature ovarian failure ( POF ) or premature menopause is a condition where woman's ovaries stop working before she is 40 . Unlike menopause, some women with POF still have occasional periods. The condition can be natrul or cause by surgery, chemotherapy or radiation.
The first sign of POF are usually missed periods. Later symptoms resemble those of natrul menopause Diagnosis is based on a physical exam and lab and imaging tests.
Most women with POF are unable to get pregnant naturally. Fertility treatment may help a few women, while others need to use donor eggs to have children.
Ovarian Torsion , the 5 th common gynaecological emergency, is the partial or complete rotation of the ovary on the ligamentous support by which it is suspended within the abdomen, often critically limiting the blood supply to the ovary. While the presence of an overian mass increase the likelihood of torsion , even normal ovaries are at risk of torsion.
The classic presentation includes acute onset of moderate to serve pain with nausea and vomiting. The management of ovarian Torsion is to mitigate the effects of the decreased blood flow to the ovary with reversal of the torsion.
Awareness regular checks and not neglecting early symptoms Will help early diagnosis of all the ovarian conditions, prevent complications and increase chances of recovery.
