Aids ( HIV )
This is caused by a virus that attacks and destroys the body's infraction fighting cells Lymphocytes.it is dreaded deadly infection disease.
HIV ( Human immunodeficiency virus) that causes the condition, First identified in the USA .
HIV is widespread across the world about 5 crore people are affected all age groups including new born, if the mother carry the HIV infection.
Certain groups of pare at a higher risk of contracting HIV and AIDS viz homosexualities and bisexuality men, use intravenous drugs,who share needles for drug use, tattooing or ears or nose piercing, heterosexuality who have more than one sexual partners or has a sexual partners tested positive for HIV
Transfusions of blood or blood products that are not tested for HIV.
HIV is not transmitted through casual contract, hugging, or shaking hands, by eating foods prepared by HIV positive or by airborne germs
In the recent small amount of HIV have been found in saliva, tears , breast milk, cerebrospinal fluid, Urine and faeces.
Some symptoms
Flu like symptoms such as fever, headache, gastrointestinal problems, skin rashes,loss of appetite fatigue syndrome.it is called latency period this can be last for ten years ling . The lymph nodes in the jaw , neck, armpits an groin s are enlarged. For full blown AIDS to,
emerge , it may takes months or years.
Other symptoms include chills weight loss diarrhea, joints and muscles pain,sore throat, fungal infection of the mouth called thrush, chronic vaginal yeast infection, and viral,skin infections.such as Herpes sores around the mouth list is endless.
HIV is diagnosed through a blood analysis is called enzyme linked immunosorbent assay ( ELISA test)
If the ELISA test is positive then there are additional blood tests as the Western blot test,to confirm the results.
