First of all the Homoeopathic Physicians has to decide whether the person is well nourished Or not.If a person is Ill nourished then dietetic advice and vitamin supplements has to be given.If the patient is well nourished,then one must try and find out the exact cause like monilial infection, seborrheic dermatitis etc . Since the lesions are characteristerized by deep cracks ,it indicates a dominant syphilltic miasm .The crusts formed in the lesions should be gradually removed with the help of a solution prepared by mixing Calendula and water in ratio 1:2 and on the raw surface, Calendula ointment should be applied.The above application is only meant for the protection of the raw surface from the environment.The rest of the approach remains same as that of Impetigo.
The following rare remedies should be remembered for this condition.
Alloxanum Abroma Augusta, Morgan pure , Nat arse. Syphllinum. Capella bursa pastoris,Vaccininum.

Cracks are painful to slightest touch.Presence of angular Stomatitis in cancerous diathesis,stricture of oesophagus.
Graphites
Rareness in the cracks,bleeds easily and ooze out gluey moisture, which turns into a crust.The cracks are usually associated with eczema There is a sour foul odour from the mouth and there is a sensation as if a cobweb is present on the face . The cracks are associated with gastric and menstrual disturbances. Burning blisters on the tounge.
