Drunkenness Homoeopathic remedies.

ByIn the books Homoeopathic Therapeutics I find recommended, on the strength of the Homoeopathic theory, more than forty remedies for drunkenness which may be efficacious if they are indicated by the totality of the somatic and physical symptoms in the person to be treated. But not being able as yet to make their differential indications throughly precise , I will now mention the remedies, which as the result of clinical experience, seem to be the most efficacious. I briefly state their differential indications, which my fellow physicians will complete by seeking for the remedies best indicated according to the law similia similibus curantur I the person to be treated.
Nux vom
Violent people, often cross, and whom sorrows or cares lead to drink as a means of forgetting and who spit frequently, or mild temperd people, kind and affectionate in their ordinary condition, who while drinking, become brutal even to striking, Insulting, sometimes weeping. Tendency to jealousy to, suicide by shooting or stabbing, before and during drunkenness.Inclination to sadness or to great genital excitement during drunkenness. Easily made drunk by a small quantity of alcoholic drink.Longing for red wine , white wine, beer absinth, rum ,persons inclined to get drunk for lack of anything else to do , neurotic men , and women addicted to drunkenness during or after pregnancy. Licentious, but only in imagination, still sometimes even in the urgent cases.Sometimes really immoral, mania for refusing treatment even in urgent cases. Sometimes thieving and shrewed, inclined to constipation, to vomiting, to regurgitationsb, to difficult digestion. Using tobacco inclined to gamble, spending their entire wealth little by little. Spending through ostentation, close toward his family, open handed to strangers, avoiding any society but his own family.
Lachesis
Ill natured people, hard to get along with. Inclined to violent crimes, vindictive, wicked, jealous, envious, licentious. Inclined to kill others but not to kill them selves , except to get themselves run over by a vehicle. Talking ceaselessly before or during drunkenness. Saying or doing while drunk what they would not say or do before. Appetite for brandy and absinth. Tobacco users . Sometimes spending too freely , sometimes close fisted , inconsequential.
Causticum.
Fussy quarrelsome, cheating, much inclined to be moved to years before and after drink, very great genital overexitement before and during drunkenness. Desire for brandy and wine.Sometimes inclined to theft . Tobacco users . Unable to stand continence .Young girls burning with the desire of marrying. Spendthrifts.
Sulphur.
Psoriatics. Suffers from hemorrhoids. Persons who work and go to sleep slowly with a prolonged, but not restful sleep.Slow going people, getting drunk in secret . Having neither the sentiment of duty nor streanth of will to accomplish duty. Desire for wine and whiskey. Mild before and brutal during drunkenness.More intelligent while they are drunk, saying and doing while drunk what they would neither say not do before. Obese and corpulent people. Thoughtless harum- scarum . Inclined to steal and to lie . Envious somewhat licentious. Some times shrewd and thieving. Tobacco users , gamblers .
Calc carb
After excessive mental labours which have weakened the intellect and inspire a fear of losing their mind . Devoid of will power and unable to refuse a glass of alcohol.
Hepar sulph persons who are not affectionate always dissatisfied, high temperd, easily angered even to homicide, inclined to be criminal. Needing alcohol to be able to work mentally.
ARS alb.
Wicked , vindictive, merciless, sometimes jealous, inclined to commit crimes. Inclined to suicide, by stabbing, poisoning or hanging. Persons who are always thirty and takes any kind of drink , even water. Inclined to vomiting, and more still to diarrhoea, much inclined to perscute others.
Petroleum
Drunkards without energy without strength of will, unable to refuse a glass of wine, vomiting after the least excess in drink, talking much when they are drunk .
Opium
Especially brandy drinkers getting drunk over humiliations, inclined to weep easily. Very gay or stupid, or sleepy while drunk . This remedy suits in the first case those who get drunk on wine , in the latter those who get drunk on cider , beer ethylic or amylic alcohol.
Mercurius vivus
Always dissatisfied with every thing, every body , and themselves. Incline to caries of the teeth , to engorgement of the gums , to salivation, neuralgia, diarrhoea, dysentery, intenstinal worms . Great Gamblers.sometimes spending freely and sometimes closed fisted Spending day by day what they earn . Hard to get along with and weak minded . Having diseases which have been pallaited rather than cured.
Staphysagaria
Suits drunkard who have made an abuse of venereal pleasures.Being unnerved, they imagine they can restore their poor organism by the abuse of alcoholic liquors , rather by means mild than than strong liquors. Sad before during and after drunkenness. Hypochondriac. Inclined to persecute . Bachelors and more still licentious husband's. Onanism , jealous, tobacco users .
Conium Mac
People who drink to brace up because they feel extremely lonesome cold and chilly. Persons who cannot stand continence. Great indifference . Intelligent not as yet throughly developed. Adults lacking in reason , like chicken. Paralytic weakness of lower spine, and especially of the lower legs Inclined to paraplegia.
Pulsatilla.
People who imagine they strengthen their stomachs by drinking and whose digestive powers are really insufficient. Sad while they are drunk . Desire for cider . Chlorotic women and girls who drink for the purpose of gaining strength. Jealous and still more envious inclined to hate . Spendthrifts through ostentation.Timid and even cowardly.
Mag carb .
Suits drinkers of mild liquors, those who make very frequent use of dainnties and candies . Shrewd sad taciturn or loquacious. Face livid or scarlet . Sleeplessness during the night, Sleep during the day . Speaking ceaselessly while drunk.
All are principal remedies which administered in high potencies 200 and above one single dose for about three or four weeks partially or completely destroys of the inclination to get drunk and often prevents the manifestations of divers symptoms which are cured during drunkenness.

Utrine fibroids

Fibroids are bengin, or non cancerous tumours that grow within or outside the wall of the uterus, or the Womb. Fibroids are common in women in the child bearing age group.
Causes
Hereditary is one of the commonest cause . The genesis is the female hormones, oestrogen and progesterone, that manipulate the development of fibroids.
It is also surmised that this is one major reason why , fibroids shrink after menopause, as the body stops manufacturing these hormones.
Utrine fibroids are commonly seen in overweight, dark skinned women. Besides they are common in women, who have difficulty in conciveing.

Tinnitus

Tinnitus is ringing, swishing, or any other type of noise that originates in the ear or head. In most instances tinnitus may not be serious problem. It is an annoyance at best that slowly resolves. However in certain instances, it may be a symptom of an underlying problem.
About 33 percent of the world population suffers from tinnitus. In almost all cases the problem is subjective only the individual hears the clatter.
Tinnitus can affect the outer ear, the middle ear and the inner ear. Sometimes the noise in the ear may be a normal phenomenon.When the person go into a soundproof area or office where the normal outside noise is reduced person may become more receptive to normal sounds.
Tinnitus may sometimes due to a problem in the brain or wax or foreign body in the external ear that may obliterate background sounds. When this happens one becomes more aware of the sounds in their own head.
Other causes include fluid retention in the ear or infections or disease of the middle ear bones and the ear drum. Some medications like aspirin or disorders of the inner ear ( Meniere's disease) can cause tinnitus.Likewise any damage to the nerves in the inner ear, or old age, may trigger tinnitus.
Symptoms and Diagnosis
Sounds or noises in the ear could be constant irregular or pulsating or synchronous with heartbeat or may be hearing loss of balance with vertigo.

Night Terrors

Night terrors are Sudden, dramatic interruptions during a child's sleep. During a night terror a child looks frightened and may screams or thrash violently. His pupils may be wide, breathing and heartbeat may be very rapid. Often a child with night terrors does not respond when his parents try to offer comfort. After about 5to 10 minutes the episode usually ends and the child may not remember anything at all about this incident.
About 1 to 5 percent children suffer from night terrors especially boys between the age of 5to 7 years.Sometimes these terrors run in families and are occasionally triggered by a fever. Although a few children with night terrors have emotional problems most do not and their terrors stop by the time they are teenagers. About one third also have problems with sleep walking.
No one knows why but most night terrors happen between midnight and 2 am . Suddenly your sleeping child will scream or cry, move violently and look very scared. He will seem confused and disoriented and may even complaint of seeing things that are not there. Breathing is very rapid and his heart will pound but no matter how hard you try to console, he probably won't respond. Soon he will fall asleep again without ever remembering the episode.
Although frightened child may seem to be totally alert, he is really more asleep than awake. Turn on.lights in the room and talk to him calmly. Touch him gently and try to pacify him. If he is thrashing violently, move him away from sharp objects and bed corners. If he is sleep walking guide him back to bed but don't try to wake him up. For the sake of safety, if child has night terrors and sleeps in a bunk bed, move him to the bottom bunk. To prevent midnight accidents clear away the toys from the floor near your child's bed and put appropriate coverings

Gels is excellent remedy when the child goes to bed with fear. Fear could be due to anything, it could be of darkness, going to school next morning, sleeping alone, fear of exams etc , . Due to this fear the child may pass urine or stool in bed or may wake up with fever, . Constitutionally also they are very nervous, fearful children. They wake up frightened and trembling.

Chamomilla.
Anxious dreams sees horrible apparitions and shouts in his sleep, dreams about fatal accidents . Wakes up as if he had awful dreams. Child whines, cries and shutters about everything. Testicular Torsion

Testicular torsion is a rare but profound medical emergency, and this condition while ralativly rare does occur in male atheletes most often in adolescents boys.
The testicles ( or tests) develop in the abdominal cavity and shortly before birth pass downward through the inguinal canal to rest the loose sack of skin called the scrotum. The testicles are oval shaped structures encased in a tough, fibrous that contains the fine tubes in which the sperm are formed.Nature in her infinite wisdom has made one testicle usually the left to hang lower than its neighbour, so that the two organs slide laterally whenever the man walks, runs or sits thereby avoiding a painful collision. On the outer upper side of each testicle is a tightly coiled tube, the epididymis that stores maturing sperm for a period of ten days.The epididymis is sometimes subject to inflammation.from the epididymis runs the vas deferens the main spermatic channel that runs up into the abdomen.
In testicular torsion the testis twists on its chord.either spontaneously ( without apparent cause) or through strenuous physical activity. This is one of the reasons all male atheletes should wear an athelitic supporter. However it's not at all uncommon for young and adolescent atheletes to forgeo the jock strap in gym class and organized sporting activities and almost certainly in playground activities.
The immediate symptoms of testicular torsion are severe local pain without apparent cause ( as a blow to the groin) nausea and vomiting secondry symptoms will appear later swelling of the scrotum and fever.Most medical authorities recommend immediate surgical repair as the only course of treatment. If the correction does not occur within a few hours, the damage to the testicle is irreparable and the testicle must be removed.
Testicular cancer
Every male young or old should be aware of the possibility of testicular cancer. He should be as knowledgeable in self examination of his testicles as are women today about the self examination of their breasts.

Black Eye

Years ago people used to put a leach in black eye to suck out the blood says dr. Jack Jeffers, an opthalmologist at wills eye hospital in Philadelphia.
Drs no longer use leeches for treatment ( thanks goodness) The best and most effective ways to block a black eye are much simpler than that. Here's how.
Ledum pal has been found extremely useful when there is extravasation of blood in lids , conjuctiva, contused wounds. It helps in healing by absorbing the blood and stopping further rupture of blood vessels and capillaries by causing natrual constriction of blood vessels.
Pack in ice.Cold works in Two ways. It helps keep the sweeling down and constricts the blood vessels, helps decrease the internal bleeding, which is what causes the black and blue colour.
Dr, Jeffers recommends applying an ice pack for the first 24 to 48 hours. If your eye is swollen shut, use it for ten minutes every 2 hrs the first day, he advised to make an ice pack for the eye, put crushed ice in a plastic bag and tape it to the forehead. This will prevent putting pressure on the eye.
Start on Arnica and Ledum pal
Arnica 200 c potency 5 pills has a special effect on bleeding or ruptured blood vessels. It stops the bleeding and helps nature to heal the blood vessels at fastest possible speed.
Ledum pal acts as a complimentary medicine to Arnica. It removes ecchymosis and the discoloration rapidly and perfectly.
Symphytum 200 , five pills four times a day to be given if pain persists in the eye ball. Symphytum should be given after Ledum pal and Arnica's course of 8_10 days is over.
At times due to eye injury diplopia ( double vision) sets in with bruised sore feeling in eye ball Arnica 200 five pills four times a day continue for 2_4 weeks even more if need be.
Medical Alert
For your child's eye you need to see an opthalmologist if his vision is impaired,he complains of pain in his eye, if he is sensitive to light, he complaints of double or blurred vision, or if he complains of sees something floating through his eyes.
It's not so much how it looks looking in but how it looks looking out says eye experts.
Don't blow your nose.
If it was a severe blow that caused his black eye ( something more than just bumping into a door) blowing his nose could cause his face to blow up like a balloon. Sometimes the injury fractures the bone of the eye socket, and blowing your nose can force air out of your sinus adjacent to the socket. The air gets injected under your skin and makes the eyelids swell even more. It also can increase the chance of infection.
Avoid Aspirin
Aspirin may be bad news for those with black eyes. Aspirin is an anti coagulant, meaning the blood won't clot as well. You will have a harder time stopping the bleeding that causes the discoloration says eye experts.

(Dyshidrotic eczema)
It is vescular eczema with chronic and recurrent lesions affecting especially the palms and soles. Here the oedema fluid accumulates to form visible vesicles or bullae. Because of the thick epidermis in these sites, the blisters tend to become larger than in other body areas before they burst.
This condition was also called dyshidrotic eczema due to its supposed ( though false) connection with sweat gland activity, since it is known to get worse in the hot weather.
Causes are hereditary predisposition to this disorder. Stress is also known to play a role in causing and being a result of this skin disorder.
Fully formed lesions show the changes of acute eczema modified the thick, overlying epidermis. The subsequent course is that of a subsiding eczema with hyperkeratosis and epidermal shedding.
Pompholyx is seen to specially affect adults before 40 years of age. But rarely in children below 10 years of age.
There is sudden onset of crops of clear deep seated, sago like, usually symmetrical vesicles, with intense itching. There is no redness of the part but a sensation of heat and prickling of palms,before attacks .The vesicles can coalesce and present as large bullae, especially on the feet. The eruptions tend to subside spontaneously within a few weeks, though scratching can make them worse. The symptoms are known to be worse during the summer months
There cab be secondary infection with pustule formation and lymphangitis complicating the symptoms in certain patients.
I cases of recurrent attacks, dystrophic changes in the nails can take place, with irregular transverse ridging and pitting thickening and discolouration.
Contact dermatitis needs to be ruled out, especially in cases where there are asymmetrical lesions with the help of a careful history and patch test
Repeated attacks of prompholyx may produce hyperkeratotic lesions that mimic psoriasis vulgaris.

Children Diarrhoea

Diarrhoea is the frequnt and repeated of stool or liquid bowel movements, excessive watery evacuation of faecal material.
Causes
There are many causes which canbe divided into major categories,
Infectious and non infectious.
Infectious causes of diarrhoea are a result of abnormal microorganism invading the bowel. Non infectious causes of diarrhoea result from disturbance of the normal function of the bowel in absorbing fluids contained within it.
Infectious causes can be further sub divided as follows
Bacteria for e.g. clostridium difficile, E coli, salmonella ( agents of typhoid fever) Shigella ( cause of epidemic bacillary dysentery/ campylobactor (another food handler is contaminant) gastro enteritis and enteric fever from contaminated food products and vibrio cholerae ( agent of cholera )
Viruses. There are many kinds of viruses that are capable of causing diarrhoea in children and Infants. During the first five years of life Mostly all children acquire Rotavirus ( which causes inflammation of the stomach and bowels to cause diarrhoea.)
Parasites A number of parasites are also known to cause diarrhoea in children and adults like.
Cryptosporidium ( especially in immune deficient children.)
Entamoeba histolytica ( causing amoebic dysentery)
Giardia Lambila.
Non infectious causes of diarrhoea can be further divided as follows.
Anatomical defects of the bowel (insteinal tract)
Hormonal imbalances (endocrinopathies)
Feeding difficulties
Malabsorption
Tumor.
Miscellaneous causes.
Anatomic defects capable of causing diarrhoea include.
Malrotation of the bowel ( when twisted)
Duplications of a section of the intestine.
Hirschsprung disease is an abnormal condition present at birth which is due to the absence of normal nerves ( ganglia) in the bowel wale. This results in enlargement of the bowel above the point of missing nerves.
At times, new born babies and Infants suffer from physiological diarrhoea due to the gastrocolic reflux which is normal.Such conditions include passage of frequent formed stool or stools immediately after feeds. An exclusively breast fed baby often passes frequent watery stools which is golden yellow in colour and non offinsive, inspite of passing several stools he is happy, hungry and gains good weight. But if there is mucous or the stools are offinsive and the baby is not looking well then medical intervention is required.
Some Homoeopathic medicines
Podophyllum This is very well suited to Infants with a bilious tendency, it is indicated when stools are watery, yellowish, green profuse and with a jelly like substance in it . At times there is billous vomiting along with diarrhoea accompanied by a lot of rumbling and shifting pain in the stomach because of flatus, which makes the abdomen full like a balloon.( It is especially useful in teething diarrhoea of children)
Podophyllum 200 ,3 pills one hourly should be given for acute attacks till it settles the stomach. Then follow with Podophyllum 30 , five pills four times a day for a month to improve the infant's digestion.
Nat Sul This is indicated when a diarrhoea is due to eating fruits, vegetables, cold food and drinks in rainy season. Normally the Child suffers from morning diarrhoea that settles down by noon. The urge to pass a stool drives the Child out of bed initially there is rumbling and gurgling in the bowels with sudden noisy spluttering greenish stools.
Nat Sul 200 , 3 pills every three hours should be given. Once the attack settles down then Nat Sul 30 , five pills four times a day for a month is necessary to improve and help digestion.
Ars alb Here the diarrhoea is accompanied by severe vomiting is due to food poisoning. There's great restlessness with intense thirst for water. But after drinking water it's again vomited out. The stool is blackish watery, very offinsive and worse at night to.
Ars alb 200 , five pills two hourly will bring the attack'under control. The greatest threat to the life of a child with severe diarrhoea comes from deydration. The loose watery stools drain out Water plus valuable chemicals and minerals from the body. Such substances as sodium, chloride and potassium are essential for the regulation of the body's fluid and acid base balances. If diarrhoea continues and is unchecked severe illness or even death will result from ensuring dehydration and the acidosis that accompanies it.
Signs of dehydration
Decrease in the amount of urine. The looks dark yellow or light brown.
Loss of usual elastic quality of the skin.
Sunken eye balls
Rapid breathing
Drowsiness or even unconsciousness.
To prevent dehydration continuously give sips of boiled water with a pinch of a salt sugar and lime 90 percent of dehydration is prevented by salt sugar lime Water.

Cold allergies in monsoon.

Sneezing, itching, weeping, wheezing, coughing almost three fourth people suffer from this problem during monsoon.
Allergies all result from a characteristic in the immune system which normally serves to protect our bodies from microscope foreign invaders. The defect in question is a tendency to overact to foreign substances such as pollens that otherwise would be utterly harmless.
Here is an outline of what happens when an allergic reaction to pollen takes place.
A pollen grain lands on the membrane of the nose or lungs if a person is allergic then antibodies that recocnize these particular foreign molecules are in the neighborhood. They attack themselves to a particular type of defense cell called a mast cell.
The antibodies get stuck to the foreign molecules.
Now a network of antibodies attacking the pollen is formed which activates the mast cell. The mast cell then release the histamine which produces the symptoms of allergy.
Histamine causes the itching, it also makes the tiny blood vessels dilute and becomes leaky hence the sweeling and redness associated with allergies. The itching, running nose and sneezing of hay fever are mainly produced by histamines.
The basic course of events and its variants are responsible for allergic reactions why so many people get colds in the monsoon or exposure to moist wind while others get eczema. These differences in reaction pattern are not understood.
A combination of factors cause allergies.
Inherited ( generic) tendency.
Exposure to a molecule which acts an allergen.
Mental stress.
Sneezes are triggered by dust, pollen or any irritant particle that settles in sensitive mucus membrane of the nose, which is richy supplied by nerves
These membranes react by sending signals to the respiratory centre that is located at the base of the brain. Almost immediately, the signals are sent to the muscles involved in breathing causing the subject first to inhale, and then closed the airways and use respiratory muscles to squeeze the chest. When the air in the lungs is under high pressure, the airways suddenly open, expeling the irritant from its pathways. The air in the lungs virtually explodes upward and onward carrying everything in its path.. Each sneeze may contain about 5000 droplets and unless a hand or a handkerchief intervenes, some of this material which may be infections can travel as far as 12 feet.

Epilepsy

Epilepsy means a tendency to have seizers and a symptom of brain disease where there are periodical changes in the neurological function, which is often accompanied by alterations in consciousness due to excessive, abnormal, electrical impulses from the nerve cells within the brain.The epileptic seizures are divided into generalized seizures or partial seizures.In generalized seizures ( grand mal) the patient gets an aura that is followed by loud crying, biting of his own tounge, increased salivation or deveops froth at mouth, there may be violent jerking of limbs he , he may urinate or defecate and there can be resultant sudden loss of consciousness with total loss of memory for the attack. The petit amal type of eilepsy is the one that is usually seen in small children with complaints of cessation of mental activity for a few seconds, without loss of consciousness and without the patient realizing what had happened. These are also termed as absence attacks, where the person or the child becomes absent from his surrounding for a brief period of time and any movements of the lid, lip and tounge are possible. Continuous convulsive movements without any epileptic free Periods and without the patient regaining awareness between the attacks, usually lasting for more than twenty four hours is called as status epilepticus.
The patient usually comes with a history of involuntary urination and defecation, head injury, high fever labor, metabolic disorders ( hypoglycemia, hypocalcaemia, hyponatremia, hypomagnesemia, renal failure) certain drugs ( Pencillin isoniazid. Antimalarial, cyclosporin , phenothiazine, tricyclics, lignocaine etc) tumor, hydrocephalus infections ( menigitis, encephalopathy) cerebrovascular accidents multiple sclerosis SLE or excessive intake of alcohol.
An epileptic patient is not allowed to drive, cycle or swim and not allowed to work near fire, machinery or water, since the patient can get an attack at any time And any place. The patient should take only a shallow bath, without locking the door of and that too when someone is present in the home. The patient should be assured that a normal life is possible, along with medications.
During an attack, put the patient in a semi prone position with head low and roll the patient onto any side to the secretions flow out of the mouth, instead of it getting aspirated into the lungs and leading to further complications. Ensure that the airway is clear. Pressing the tounge down with the help of a spoon is necessary to prevent a tounge bite and is also useful to prevent the Fallin back of the tounge ( leading to respiratory obstruction) . For convulsions that occur in small children immerse the legs of the Child in hot Water for five to ten minutes after which if the attack goes away, the child should be wiped dry. If the child is not better or if the attack occurs again, follow the same procedure again and also apply some cold water simultaneously to the head of the Child.
The person who had an epileptic attack may occasionally be drowsy and confused for about half an hour to one hour and should not be left alone until he has recovered completely. If the convulsions continue for more than five minutes or if it recurs without the person getting conscious, one needs immediate medical attention.
Treatment

Artemisia vulgaris 200 Potency for petit mal type especially in children and in young girls after fright or other violent emotions worse at puberty and during menses.

Erysipelas

Experiences with Homoeopathy
Erythematous rashes.
It was an evening of August 1985 I was busy seeing my patients at my clinic,a young man came and request to see his mother who was in a critical condition lying in hospital, at first I refused to go since I had a painful experience about hospital staff who never co-operative with a Homoeopath, but on his insistently requesting I ultimately agreed.
Next day morning with accompanied him to hospital he told his mother is a diabetic and had developed some skin problems which appeared on her chest and other parts of the body..
When I reached the hospital, the staff nurse and a houseman accompanied me, they thought me to be a dermatologist, since every other day some new dr was visiting. Her whole body was painted with gentian violet lots of Blisters small and large some of them broken with peelinbg of skin and serous discharge
Her eyes were half open and filled with exudates from the necrosed margins of eyes which looked as if bitten by a rat her face was swollen with signs of inflammatory changes inside her mouth and nasal track as well, her lips were necrosed and swollen. It was looking if she had been thrown into a boiler. It was a horrible sight to look at.
She was an advanced stage of shock the drip was on breathing with difficulty the urine output was scanty since there were inflammatory changes in the kidneys and bladder also she was last seen by a famous dermatologist who had diagnosed as Steven Jonhnos Syndrome.
Allopathic treatment is going on with antibiotics and steroids.
For Homoeopathy it was a simple case. Though she was in a stage of shock she responded well to every question. She told that she felt as if she is lying on burning sand thirsty but could not drink every attempt painful could not eat nor see because of oozing of stuff in her eyes she could hardly eat or pass stools could pass a few drops of urine which caused severe burning and cutting pains.
Guided by those Symptoms six doses of Cantharis 30 for first day and from next day three doses per day for four days with great relief in 24 hours, same day her mental condition improved, the next day she could drink and urinate. Third day she could eat and pass stools. The recovery was very rapid on Fifth day she was discharged from hospital, the hospital authority did not believe that this remarkable improvement was the result of Homoeopathic medicine.
By the time she went home within a week bullae had dried completely
After going home the burning pains while passing urine recurred and was given a few more 200 Potency doses of Cantharis, naturally healthy skin was forming she could see, eat drink pass stool and urinate without any difficulty. All this happend in ten days time and she resumed her routine work. She was latter treated for her diabetes according to her constitutional remedy.

Thrombocytosis is a disorder in which body produces too many platelets (thrombocytes) which play an important role in blood clotting. The disorder is called reactive. thromlytosis or secondary thromcythemia when it's caused by an underlying condition, such as an infection.

Thromlytosis (throm-boe - sie - TOE - sis) may also,less commonly, be caused by a blood and bone marrow disease. When caused by a bone marrow disorder, thrombocytosis is called autonomous, primary or essential thromlytosis, or essential thrombocythermia.

Dr may detect thromlytosis in routine blood test results that show a high platelet level. If blood test indicates thrombocytosis, it is important to determine whether its reactive thrombocytosis or if have essential thrombocythermia, which is more like to cause blood clots..

Causes

A normal platelet count ranges from 150,000 to 450,000 platelets per microliter of blood.

If you have thromlytosis caused by a bone marrow disorder (essential thrombocythermia) your bone marrow overproduces the cells that form platelets (megakaryocytes) releasing too many platelets into your blood. In essential thrombicythermia, there is a much higher risk of clotting or bleeding complications. Therefore, if your blood test results reveal a high platelets count, it's important for your Dr determine whether you have essential thrombicythermia or reactive thrombocytosis.

Seborrheic dermatitis

Seborrheic dermatitis.
Dermatitis of the sebaceous areas. This is chronic and difficult to define exactly but has a distinctive morphology(red sharply marginated papulosquamous lesions covered with greasy scales) and typical distribution in areas with rich supply of sebaceous glands especially the scalp, face and upper trunk.
Dandruff which is a visible desquamation from the sclap surface, appears to be the precursor or mild form of seborrheic dermatitis. This may gradually progress into a red, irritated skin with marked increases in the scaling of the scalp and thus become a true seborrheic dermatitis.
The yeast Malassezia ovale which is normally present on the skin, is increased in the scales of seborreic dermatitis and is thus supposed to be the cause of it.
The condition is more commonly seen in males than in females it can occur in all ages even in infants below2 months of age. it is also seen in patients suffering from HIV infection. possibly due to the enhanced growth of yeasts secondary to immunosuppression.
It is also seen to occur secondarily in patients suffering from parkisonism. Generally shows features of both psoriasis and chronic dermatitis. most of the cells of the stratum corneum are parakeratotic.(distinguishes it from psoriasis). There is an increase in production of keratinocytes with marked epidermal proliferation and desquamation.
Malassezia ovale yeast with marked follicular involvement of the akin is more characteristic of seborrheric dermatitis in an immuno suppressed(AIDS) individual.
They commonly originate in hairy skin and involve the sclap,face, upper trunk and the flexures. In rare cases it can be generalized occuring all over the body. The lesions tend tobe dull or yellowish red in color and covered with greasy scales pruritus is minimal and chroicity of the lesions or recurrence is very common .
Dandruff is usually the earliest manifestation of seborrheic dermatitis on the sclap. Gradually there is perifollicular redness and scaling evident which spreads to form sharply marginated patches which eitgher remain discrete or tend to coalesee together. There can be loss2of hair occurring with this condition. There is redness and sticky scale and crust formation behind the ears, which can spread to involve surrounding areas,can also be infection of the external ear canal along with this
The medial half of the eyebrows, eyelids glabella and nasolabial folds are especially affected.
Seborrheic dermatitis seen in males are petal shaped lesions on the front of the chest and in the interscapular region.
The intial lesions appeares as a small reddish brown follicular papule covered by greasy scale, these then spread and tend to coalesce to form a particular circular pattern.
The most commonly involved flexures are the axillae, groins and breast fold in few cases the anogenital and umbilical region. there is usually increased perspiration in these parts more prone to secondry infection if left untreated. In chronic cases the skin becomes thickned and erythmatous..
Diagnosis is easy but in some cases diagnosis can be difficult partly because of the lack of well defined diagnostic criteria.
Psoriasis is most often confused with seborrheic dermatitis especially in cases where there the lesions are present only on the scalp. The differentiating feature is that the psoriatic lesions are usually thicker and bright pink in color with a silvery scale. also psoriatic changes of the nails should be looked for and a family history of psoriasis should be checked for .
Lichen simplex can appear similar to seborrheic dermatitis but there be thickened plaques are often much more irritable than seen in seborrheic dermatitis.
Pityriasis rosea must be distinguished from the pityriasiform type of seborrheic dermatitis in which the lesions are more widely distributed and in which there is no herald patch.
Ringworm infection pityriasis versicolor and candidiasis should be ruled out in cases of lesions occurring only at the flexures by performing a microscope examination of the scrapings from the advancing margin.
Contact dermatitis needs to be ruled out with the help of a patch test.
Biopsy may be required to rule out pemphigus.
