Hair falling is a universal problem complaint experience by a majority of people. As a DR , one  needs to always examine the scalp to rule out any atrophy or scaring of the scalp skin, atrophy of the scalp is seen as wrinkling, thinning and loss of elasticity of the skin surface, whereas scarring produced a thickened, shining scalp surface with wrinkling and loss of elasticity.
Advice
Avoid repeated and too frequent combing and shampoing
Avoid changing of shampoo or soap.
Avoid excessive use of oil especially in cases of seborrheic individuals.
Hair fall due to any infections of the scalp comes under tubercular miasm, hairfall due to severe destruction of the hair root, as occurs in psoriasis and pyoderma, is syphlitic and hairfall due to seborreha is under sycotic miasm. Hair fall that precedes male pattern baldness is almost always syphlitic, where as that preceded alopecia areata is tubercular.
Never should hairfall be treated symptomatically  you using specific remedy like wesbaden, phosphorus, and thallinum this will give temporary results. It is best to select a constitutional remedy in high potency, single dose not to Reapeted too frequently. If patient suffefes anemia, diabetes, infections of the scalp, dandruff etc one required constitutional treatment with frequently repetition.
Also when using intercurrent remedies one needs to repeat nododes repeatedly in high. Specifically in male baldness and alopecia areata.
A remedy that has helped me in my years of practice for cases of alopecia areata are X_ray later on I started using  Leprominium (a remedy prepared from potentized lepra bacili =and v recently Methotrexate and Adrenomycin.
