Myopathy refers to a class of degenerative muscles disease not caused by nereve dysfunction.Myopathy causes progressive weakness and wasting away of several muscles,the causes for myopathies vary. They could be hereditary, an inflammatory,response or the result of an endocrine disorder. The different types of myopathies are classified according to their causes.
Inherited form1 muscular dystrophies.
2 Myotonia 3 congestial myopathies
4 Metabolic myopathies 5  Inflammatory myopathies.
Symptoms
Common among myopathies are weakness of the voluntary muscles of the arms legs and trunks dropping upper eyelids, foot Drops,facial weakness and lack of reflexes in the affected muscles.
Diagnosis
Blood test measure the level of various muscles enzymes. An electromyography( EMG) to gauge electrical activity muscles biopsy of a weak muscle.
