Typhoid is normally contracted through water and food, clothes bed linen utensils and others tools commonly used. One reason for the malaria patient to get typhoid immediately is due to digestive disorders, impairment of the secretion of gastric juices. In addition the general defence system against the germs comes down due to malaria, thus paving a way for a typhoid malaria state.
Normally typhoid is contracted through impure drinks or eating food contaminated by salmonella bacteria. However the reason for co existence of typhoid in the patients affected by malaria is not properly under stood.
