Although India has so far not reported any case it the Zika virus but larger number of people suffering from degue.
The Aedes Aegypti mosquito whose bite transmit the disease is the same as the one that transmits Dengue and Chickengunya.
The hotter it gets, the better the mosquito that carries the Zika virus is transmitting dengerous illnesses. Zika is not life threatening and is self remitting disease.

Chikungunya

Chikungunya or CHIKV,( chikungunya virus) is also often called a monsoon disease. This may be because there's an increase in the number or mosquitoes during the monsoon, which means that there is bigger probability of the disease being spread
Chicken guinea or chikungunya is virus that infected human when they get bitten by the Aedes mosquito that carries this virus. The Aedes aegyti is more likely to spread dengue and Aedes albopictus, the chikungunya virus. However both types of mosquitoes can spread both diseases. These mosquitoes can be found bitting throughout daylight hours though there may be peaks of activity in the early morning and late afternoon.
Symptoms of chikunguninea
The Symptoms are very similar to that dengue or or dengue fever. One cannot miss the prominent symptoms in a typical case of chikunguninea. After an incubation period of,3_12 days the following symptoms are noted.
High fever, headache
Overwhelming tiredness inability to complete normal chores
Pain and stiffness of the joints
Certain parts of the body which are in pain may also swell up.
Sleeplessness

Ulcers in the mouth

Severe weakness over a variable period of 5_7 days after the onset of symptoms.
It can be up to twelve days after infection that these symptoms begin to surface. However the Symptoms can begin as soon as two days after being bitten.
Acute stage
Chickenguinea fever affects all age groups and both genders are equally affected. .
Onset
Prodromal symptoms are rare. In the acute the onset is usually abrupt and sudden with high grade fever ( usually 102_105f) severe arthralgias, myalgias and skin rash,. Headache throat discomfort abdominal pain and constipation may also be evident. Conjunctial suffusion persistent conjunctivitis cervical or sometimes generalized lymphadenopathy maybe present.
Course of disease
The fever is usually of short duration and usually resolves in 3_4 days, in some patients a biphasic pattern of fever has been described with a febrile episode of 4 to 6 days followed by a fever free period of a few days followed by recurrence of fever ( usually 102_ 102 f) that may lost a few days.
Chronic stage
In a majority of the patients the joint pain resolve in 1 to 3 weeks. However the arthritis can persist in about 33 percent of patients for 4 months 15 percent for 20 months and 12 percent for 3_5 years.
Diagnosis
Several methods can be used for diagnosis.
A few patients develop Leucopenia
Elevated levels of aspartate aminotransferace ( AST) and C_reative protein
Mildly decreased platelet count.
Sorological tests, such as enzyme linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) may confirm the presence of IgM and IgC anti chikunguninea antibodies. IgM antibody levels are highest 3to 5 weeks after the onset of illness and persist for about 2 months.
Various reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction ( RT_ PCR) methods are available but are of variable sensitivity

Syphilis

Syphilis is an infectious disease caused by the spirochete Treponema pallidum which is aqired either sexually or through blood transfusion ( aquired syphilis) or in utero an infected mother ((congenital syphilis)
Aquired syphilis is classified as early and late syphilis early syphilis includes as primary, secondary and early laten ((arbitrarily defined as more than one year post infectious)
Syphilis and late syphilis includes late latent (defined as more than one year post infections) and tertiary syphilis.
The spiral bacterium.T. Palladium penetrates skin or intact mucous membranes easily through direct contact and disseminates rapidly via the blood and lymph circulation.These bacteria cause vascular changes like those seen in endarteritis and periarteritis. The intial lesion of primary syphilis develops at the site of the transmission after an incubation period of about 10 days to 3 months, and then heals spontaneously within 3 to 8 weeks. Even before the appearance of the lesion, the organsims have disseminated all over the body.
Secondary syphilis may seperimose on a primary lesion or may occur 4_10 weeks after its appearance and this stage has a wide range of presentation, predominantly affecting the skin, mucous membranes and lymph nodes. Symptomaric secondary syphilis usually resolves even without treatment and the disease then enters a laten stage which may be divided into early and late latent syphilis.
Early latent encompasses the first 1_2 years of the disease and is marked by occasional relapse of active secondary lesions. During late latent syphilis the patient remains asymptomatic and generally noninfectious.
About one third of untreated patients will develop tertiary syphilis, which may develop after yeras to decades and manifests as gummatous cardiovascular or neurosyphilis. Tertiary result in approximately 20 percent of untreated patients
Males have higher incidence than females and the condition is especially common during the years of peak sexual activity.

A careful clinic history with the duration and detailed description of all symptoms and lesions should be looked into, in suspected cases. A complete history including information about the use of condoms and the number and symptomatology of all parents should also be looked into.
Homoeopathic treatment
I have personally very little experience as far as treatment of syphilis is concerned, since with the introduction of sex education, media publicity and use of condoms, the incidence of syphilis has drastically reduced in the last one decade. It is very important that we do not mix up treatment of a disease with syphilitic miasm with the treatment of actual syphilis.
From the few cases of syphilis that i have seen in my practice in my life, I have learnt that to treat it one has to have a good understanding of the syphilitic miasm, with a sound knowledge of its of its treatment. from the Organon, the medicine and the chronic diseases. This is a very basic that one has to know before he starts treatment of syphilis.

LIPOMA

These benign tumors are slowly growing, well defined soft rounded, labulated and mobile modules composed of mature fat cells, arising from the adipose tissue in the subcutaneous layer of the skin.
There's no particular cause known.
Histopathology
The lesion consists of lobulated of normal fat cells held together by strands of connective tissue, which are enclosed within a capsule of connective tissue. Occasionally, eccrine sweat glands may be associated and then they are called as adenolipomas.
Clinical features
Lipomas are soft, lobulated subconscious modules varying in size and number. These grow very slowly and are generally not adherent to the overlying epidemis and can thus be moved freely on the underlying structures on palpitation. They are usually asymptomatic, but can become painful in cases of them causing pressure over the nerves.
These tend to occur anywhere on the body, but are usually seen on the neck, limbs back and shoulders.
Diagnosis
These are easy to diagnose with its typical clinical presentation and it typically slipping away from the palpating fingers on examination. In doubtful cases, a biopsy will confirm the diagnosis.
Differential diagnosis
An epidermoid cyst can resemble a lipoma, but the presence of central punctum helps make the correct diagnosis.
Angiolipomas are encapsulated, lobulated bengin tumours different histologically from a lipoma with its excessive degree of vascular proliferation and it being usually painful and tender to touch.
A lipoma which feels doughy and usually isn't tender moves readily with slight finger pressure.lipomas are usually detected in middle age.
Some people have more than one lipoma.A lipoma is not cancer and usually is harmless.
Generally small lipomas are typically less than 2 inches (5 centemers) in diameter but they can grow.

As far as lipoma is concerned my results have not been too satisfactory in my practice. Multiple limopas all over the body should never be accepted for Homoeopathic treatment, as you cannot resolve all the lipomas. Also don't give a false guarantee that after Homoeopathic treatment, one may not develop new lipomas.
I have seen so many Homoeopaths who encourage this, but ultimately they spoil the name of the science.Lipoma should not be considered 100 percent benign always, as sarcomatoid changes in benign limopas are known especially if located in the region of the thighs. Two rare medicines found most useful in my practice of lipomas are Bacillus no 10, a bowel Nosode and Uricum acidum.

Gallbladder stones and disorders

Gallstones are lump of solid matter in the gall bladder and they form when there is a too much cholesterol or pigment in the bile. They start off as tiny globules that can grow up to the size of an egg. Headaches and Homoeopathic treatment

Pain in the head area due to a variety of intracranial disorders or due to psychogenic causes is termed as a headache. There are twelve categories of headache including tension headaches, migraine headaches, cluster headaches, sinus headaches and headaches due to raised intranial pressure.
About 70/80 percent of all headaches are classified as muscle contractions or more commonly tension headaches which are not always caused by emotional tension but can also be caused by muscle strain, poor posture and from too much of eye strain. The pain is usually constant and generlized but often radiates forward from the occipital region and is described as a dull, tight or band like sensation around the head. They rarely cause serious long term problems unlike migraine and cluster headaches.
Migraine and cluster headaches are called vascular headaches. In this type of headache there is initially an intense spasm or constriction of the blood vessels in the brain that reduce the blood flow to the brain resulting in the migraine aura nausea dizziness and altered vision which precedes the attacks of migraine. This is then followed by vasodilation of the same arteries resulting in an excessive blood flow to the head, causing the throbbing headache. Seventy of the migraine sufferers are females. Cluster headaches are short lived, lasting less than an hour, unlike migraines. They occur in predictable clusters, three to eight week Periods during they may strike several times a day.
Many food items can trigger off migraines it is known that chocolate or the food additive monosodium glutamate (MSG) stimulates an attack. MSG is found not only in Chinese food but also in frozen foods.canned foods, and dry soups and many other processed foods as well. Chemicals like nitrites which are used to preserve meat and smoked fish can also trigger migraines even if present in small amounts. Foods such as cheddar cheese pickled herring and red wine contain tyramine, which is a chemical compound that cause headache.
Ask the patient to avoid exposure to excessive to heat, cold or rain. Avoid washing head in cold water.

Anorexia

Undereating or loss of appetite if continues for a long time followed by a sudden weight loss is termed as anorexia. Some of the most common causes of anorexia are depression stress, anxiety, neurosis, hormonal imbalance, certain drugs like antibiotics, antipyretic, painkiller, Digitalis, diuretics etc.Certain diseases like fever, typhoid, viral hepatitis, cancer malaria, some GIT disturbances etc.can also result in anorexia. Some of the most common symptoms and signs noted are Amenorrhea, emaciation and weight loss of at least 25 percent of original body weight.
Anorexia nervosa is a phychological eating disorders usually seen in young girls, which sometimes causes extreme emaciation and which typically develops during adolescence. Some girls have a history of obesity and after'being teased about their fatness they go onto a crash diet, resulting in anorexia. The person tries to avoid taking any carbohydrates and fats, but is usually preoccupied with food and enjoys making a wide variety of food for her family. They are very overactive and may try to induce vomiting secretly after meals.

Prostate benign enlargement

This is seen commonly in men over the age of fifty years of age. The prostate gland produced a fluid that keeps the sperm healthy and mobile. It is placed just below the bladder and is the size of a chestnut, with the urethra ( the tube that carries urine from the bladder to the tip of the penis) passing directly through the middle of it. Swelling of the prostate gland may lead to just some discomfort and is completely harmless, but occasionally it can cause progressive obstruction to the urinary flow if swelling is pressing down on the urethra. No one knows the real cause for the enlargement of this gland, though hormonal change is believed to be contributory.
In this condition there is a gradual increase in the volume of urine that remains in the bladder after micturition and so there is a frequent desire to urinate, though each time the quantity of urine passed is not too much and the person has to wait with complaints of disturbed sleep since he has to wake up a few times at night also to pass the urine. There may occasionally be some interferance with the passage of urine and the patient may complain of an interrupted flow. In rare cases haematuria may occur due to urethral bleeding.
Cigarette smoking and excessive alcohol consumption may be contributory to the prostatic enlargement and so one should stop smoking and drinking.

Clinical significance of prostate. Specific Antigen ( P.S.A.)
PSA is a glycoprotein produced by the cells of normal prostate gland. Although PSA is mostly found in semen, a small amount is also found in the blood. Most men have levels under 4 nanograms per miliiter of blood
The level of PSA above 4 ng/ mL is suggestive of prostate cancer but as the same time it is worth mentioning that prostate cancer was detected on biopsy in about 15 percent of men with a PSA below 4 ng/ mL. If the level is in the borderline range between 4 and 10 there is 25 percent chance of having prostate cancer while if it is more than 10 the chances are over50 percent which increases as PSA level increases.
Percent free PSA
PSA occurs in 2 major forms in the blood, one is attached to blood proteins while other circulates free. The percent free PSA test shows how much PSA circulates free compared to total PSA level. The percentage of free PSA is lower in men who have prostate cancer than in men who don't.
In patients with prostate cancer, less than 20 percent of the total PSA is in free from, while with BPH over 20 percent of the total PSA is free and not bound to alpha 1 antichymo tripsin.
If the PSA results are in borderline range( 4_10ng/ mL) a low percent free PSA ( less 10 percent) means the chances of having prostate cancer is about 50 percent a biopsy is advisable.
PSA velocity
The PSA velocity is not a separate test. It show how fast the PSA rises over time. Even the total PSA value is not over 4 ng/ mL ,a high PSA velocity suggests that can cancer may be present.if it goes up faster than 0.75 Ng/mL per it is considered high, and a biopsy should be considered.
PSA density.
The PSA density ( PSAD) is the serum PSA value divided by volume ( size​) of prostate gland ( with transrectal ultrasound) A higher density ( PSAD) indicates greater likelihood of cancer. The percent free PSA test is considered more accurate in comparison to PSA density.
A PSA result within the borderline range might be very worrisome in a 50 years old man but cause less concern in an 80 years old man.
